Hello, I’m Uzumero as a Japanese salaryman (X account ).
I would like to disclose and analyze my total assets as of the end of June 2024.
I consider my health to be part of my assets, so I am also disclosing my monthly weight, body fat percentage and sleep time.
Total assets
Total assets as of the end of June 2024 were…
55,064,574 yen!
This is an increase of 2,493,692 yen(+4.7%) over last month!
Converting total assets to dollars, it would be about $344,000 (converted to 160 yen to the dollar).
The comparison to last month is as follows.
The changes since January 2024 are as follows.
Total assets increased from [ 52.57 million yen ] in May to [ 55.06 million yen ], an increase of about 2.5 milion yen (4.7%) in one month.
This month, the rise in the stock market, dividends, and bonuses have all contributed to a quick increase in total assets.
The ratios of risk assets to total assets, risk-free assets, and cash are as follows.
The ratio has remained almost the same as last month, but the percentage of risk assets has decreased by 1% to 83%. However, I think the ratio is still high, so I will continue to keep my deposits low and not increase the percentage of risk assets.
The ratios of foreign currency assets (risk assets), yen assets (risk assets), and cash + receivables (risk-free assets) to total assets are as follows.
I think 45% of foreign currency assets is a bit much.
Next, I will present the details of the change in the breakdown.
Change in Risk Assets in June.
Risk assets (valuation) increased about 1.55 milion yen (+3.5%) from [ 44.15 million yen ] to [ 45.7 million yen ].
In addition, unrealized gains/losses (unrealized profits) were approximately 12.28 million yen, an increase of approximately 1.46 million yen (+13.5%) in one month.

I have rebalanced before, but the ratio of foreign currency assets is increasing again due to higher overseas stock prices and a weaker yen.
I would like to caution investors to be careful.
Change in Risk-Free Assets in June
Risk-free assets did not change from 500 million yen, but the breakdown changed.
Government bonds for individuals (10-Year Floating-Rate) increased by 500,000 yen and Rakuten Bank Money Bridge decreased by 500,000 yen.
I transfer 500,000 yen from Rakuten Bank Money Bridge to a Government bonds for individuals (10-Year Floating-Rate) every month.

The following chart shows the change in the first interest rate from January 2023 (153rd) to 171th, and it has been slowly rising.
The payment date for the “10-year floating-rate” individual JGB is once every six months, so I look forward to that date.
Changes in Standby Funds
Standby funds (cash) increased from 1.92 million yen to 2.86 million yen ( + 940,000 yen ).
The standby fund increased significantly this month due to a bonus and a large dividend payment.
I intend to continue my efforts to increase the standby fund in the future.
The bonuses and dividends have allowed us to increase cash significantly!
Health assets (weight, body fat percentage, sleep duration)
The most obvious indicators of health are considered to be [ weight ], [ body fat percentage ], and [ sleep duration ].
Bodyweight and body fat percentage are factors related to various diseases and lifestyle-related diseases. In addition, less [ sleep time ] can have a serious impact on physical and mental health, including daily vitality and mental health.
It is meaningless if you have saved money while in your 40s, but your health is compromised in your 50s and 60s. Therefore, I also disclose [weight], [body fat percentage], and [sleeping hours] as indicators of healthy assets.
Weight and body fat percentage
Weight and body fat changes through June were as follows.
Looking at the changes in weight and body fat since the beginning of this year, there may be a slight downward trend.
Since I have not been so conscious of losing weight, I do not think it would be a good idea to lose too much weight.
In the future, I would like to increase my muscle mass and be conscious of gaining weight.
The main things I pay attention to in my diet are as follows.
- Eat three meals a day.
- Finish dinner before 7:00 p.m.
- Do not eat anything after dinner.
- Eat carbohydrates, protein and vegetables at every meal.
- Eat nuts as snacks.
- Measure weight and body fat percentage daily.
I think the most effective diet that has helped me keep my weight in this category is not eating anything after 7:00 p.m. and being able to fast for 12 hours from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the next day.
After that, I think that measuring my weight and body fat percentage daily is also important for weight management.
Recently, there are many scales on the market that can be easily managed in conjunction with smartphone apps, which I think is convenient for daily management.
Weight fluctuates greatly within a day. To manage your weight on a daily basis, it is recommended to measure your weight at a time when it is stable. I measure my weight every day right after I wake up in the morning and go to the bathroom.

Sleeping Time
The average amount of sleep in June was [8 hours 03 minutes] per day. Compared to last month, this is an increase of 7 minutes. This data is from Pokemon Sleep, but I go to bed around 11:00 and wake up around 7:00 every day, so I don’t feel it is so wrong.
Recently, it has been getting hotter and hotter at night. During the hot season I basically sleep with the air conditioner on. Compared to winter, I think that leaving the air conditioner on at night does not increase my electricity bill that much.
Summary and Future Policies
In this issue, I have disclosed the status of our total assets as of the end of June.
This month resulted in a significant increase in total assets due to rising stock prices and bonuses and dividends.
Since I am due to have a baby in September, I would like to moderate the increase in risk assets through deposits and increase cash and other risk-free assets in preparation for the upcoming birth and child rearing.
As for future plans, the iDeCo lump sum is scheduled to be increased from December of this year, so I would like to consider whether to respond to the increase by making new deposits or by selling stocks held in a specific account.
As for healthy assets, I think I am keeping my weight (body fat percentage) and sleep time in good condition, and I would like to continue to make efforts to do so in the future. Currently, I am doing some muscle training to increase my muscle mass a little more.
